Public Transport

Your DOG Congress name badge (incl. LVB logo) entitles you to use the public transport including the directions to and from the airport Leipzig/Halle.

The authorization for the LVB is valid for the period from 25.-28.9.2014 on all lines of transport within the Zone 110 (City Leipzig), tram, bus and the local trains (S, RE, RB, MRB, EB). You will receive your name badge at the registration counter on-site. Alternatively you can also use your confirmation of participation (incl. LVB logo), which will be sent to you shortly before the congress by e-mail.

Please have your name badge or registration confirmation (printed) with you and show it the ticket inspector on demand.

You can get to Leipzig Exhibition Center quickly and easily from the city center by local public transport services.

It only takes 6 minutes, for example, to travel from the main railway station to the Exhibition Center on the Airport Express service.

Take tram no. 16 from Leipzig Central station to “Messe- gelände“ (the terminus) – the journey takes 19 minutes. The trams run every 10 minutes and takes you almost right up to the main entrance (West Entrance/Glass Hall). The regional rail service runs from Leipzig Central station to the Exhibition Center every half hour. The journey to “Leipzig – Neue Messe“ takes 6 minutes. From here, it is about a 10-minute walk to the West Entrance (Glass Hall). You can also travel one stop further by tram no. 16 to the terminus (“Messegelände“).

Arriving by train
With Deutsche Bahn’s rail services, you can enjoy an environmentally friendly, inexpensive and stress-free journey to the trade fair city of Leipzig. The main railway station is located right in the center of the city and is one of Europe’s largest and most modern stations. The travel center at Leipzig Central station is open daily until 22:00 and the service point on the concourse is open around the clock. You can browse and take a break in the shops, cafés and restaurants here until 22:00. To get from the main railway station to the Leipzig Trade Fair, take the local train, Airport Express service, tram or taxi. Information is available at the service point.

Arriving by plane
From the City Center and from the Congress Center Leipzig, the Airport can be reached easily by a railway shuttle. The “FlughafenExpress“ runs every 30 minutes between Leipzig Central Railway Terminal and the Leipzig/Halle Airport. A journey takes approximately 14 minutes.
