Welcoming Address by the Spokesman for the Industrial Council
The DOG Congress is a fixed date in the schedules of numerous clinicians, scientists and doctors in private practice from all over Germany and the neighboring European countries. It provides a platform for continuing education, information, discussion and exchange on the most significant innovations in the field of ophthalmology. The some 90 industry exhibitors at the DOG Congress wish to support the motto of this year’s congress “Qualification: Our Commitment” with a wide range of innovations and products supplied by manufacturers of machines and equipment, the pharmaceutical industry, the print media and commercial enterprises. We would ask you to take the opportunity during the congress to visit our booths and engage in interesting discussion with industry representatives and also attend the symposia offered by the exhibiting companies. We wish the DOG, all attendees and all exhibitors a successful congress, stimulating discussion and a pleasant stay in the congress city of Leipzig.

The President’s Welcoming Address
We can look back on a very successful congress in 2013 with over 4,500 attendees and more than 90 industry exhibitors. The consistently positive response to the new program formats has encouraged us to continue including and also, were possible, to expand them. The next congress is to take place in Leipzig under the motto “Qualification: Our Commitment!”. The high quality of the program and the qualifications of all participants and all industry partners will have a decisive influence on the attractiveness of the congress in 2014 too. I am looking forward to seeing you all in Leipzig and would like to thank you here and now for your support and commitment!
Prof. Dr. Johann Roider
President of the DOG
